How Does VI Peel Work?
The VI Peel works by gently removing the outer layer of old, damaged skin, helping your body start producing new, healthy skin. It’s a medium-depth chemical peel, which means it goes a bit deeper than an elemental facial but doesn’t require serious downtime. The peel includes a blend of ingredients, including TCA, Retinoic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Phenol, and Vitamin C.
TCA and Phenol help exfoliate the top layer of skin, triggering the peeling process. Retinoic Acid helps your skin make new cells faster. Salicylic Acid clears out clogged pores, and Vitamin C helps brighten and support the recovery. All of this works together to smooth your skin, even out your tone, and make you look healthier.
Most people feel just a slight tingling or warmth – nothing too uncomfortable or painful. A few days later, the exfoliation process begins. That’s your skin doing precisely what it’s supposed to: shedding the dull layer and bringing out the fresh one underneath. Over time, this helps soften dark spots, fine lines, and acne marks.
VI Peel Aftercare Tips
- Allow your skin to peel naturally. Avoid picking or pulling at the shedding skin, as this can cause irritation or scarring.
- Avoid direct sun exposure. Your skin is extra sensitive right now, so try to avoid direct sunlight. If you have to be outside, wear SPF 30 or higher – even on cloudy days.
- Follow the post-peel instructions provided by your specialist, including the use of prescribed products. Those post-peel towelettes and creams are there for a reason. They help your skin recover correctly, so don’t skip them.
- Hold off on workouts for a few days. Sweating too soon can make your skin more irritated. It’s a good excuse to take a little break.

- Drink lots of water. Staying hydrated helps your skin recover faster and keeps it from feeling extra dry while it’s peeling.
